This is really getting funny..... Go back and read your initial post. You ask if a GE pump can be rebuilt. TWO very experienced people have told you its not possible, then because you dont like the answer you argue with both of us about it.
Tried to explain it to this guy John L. but he wouldnt listen, and all our combined years of experience didnt seem to impress him. GE pumps were so inexpensive to buy and replace GE never made them to be rebuilt. Yes, all these years later they are getting scarce and hard to find, but they...
Had heard that Robert Purdue died, about a year ago I think.....anyone know what happened to him? He wasn't that old and always seemed to be in good health.....
Its NOT a cap, there is no such thing on a GE pump. First of all you are looking at the pump upside down. What you are incorrectly calling a "cap" is the coupling for the flexible drive. It is PERMANANTLY attached and NOT removable. There would be no reason to ever remove it as those GE...
Already "cobbled" one together.....using TWO Maytag pressure switches. One set to LOW and the other set to HIGH. Used a "T" connecter between the two for the air pressure hose and it does work. Finding a new or good used replacement would be just dandy and make it like it was, back to...
KA906 is the model number.... 402841MU is the serial number. Does not matter if its not a new water level switch, Id be very happy with a good used one......

You Snooze, You Lose !
Didnt hear back from you in a timely manner, so didnt think you were interested. What I did hear from were 10 others who had a interest in the fold down unit. After being in the appliance parts, repair and retail business for over 45yrs I learned the hard way that a...

How does the new PVC pipe stay in the hole? What are you using to make a positive mechanical connection to keep the PVC pipe from vibrating out during spin? Are you just using silicone around the hole or something else? The original air domes had two little wings that fit in two slots and...
