I 1977 GE TOL 40 stove w/ double ovens, 1 1960 portable dishwasher w/ pink interior.

Turquoise 1963 Kenmore washing machine In excellent condition.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My mother’s new matching 1965 GE coppertone refrigerator, drop in stove and dishwasher in our house in Phoenix.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
I bought the 1947 fridge from the original owner that was moving into an apartment. Her son was selling it for her on eBay back in 1998. I was the only bidder and won it for $5 but paid her $25. It had all the original pieces including the book. She said it was one of the first refrigerators that was made after the war and she used the special “coupon” that she had been given to redeem it. The 1957 wall ovens and matching custom cooktop were bought off ebay including the rest of the kitchen that came with it. It came out of a mid century house in Cleveland. The kitchen and appliances are now restored as a beautiful part of our former basement. You can see it on a website called No Pattern Required, under the search: Jacki ebay kitchen.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
We restored our 1957 6 burner custom cooktop in our last home. And have repaired multiple kitchen appliances thanks to AW folks.
