-If I ever do become a collector, I would collect the washers and dryers I remember from childhood. Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, GE, Hotpoint, and Speed Queen (solid tub). The most preferrable vintage would be 1965 - 1972.

-I myself have not owned any, but in my family we've had:
1964 Hotpoint Sillouhette washer
1969 GE dryer
1972 Maytag A206 washer. (replaced the Hotpoint).
1985 or 6 Whirlpool Imperial Seventy dryer Model LG811XP I think that's the whole number. (Replaced GE.)
1999 90 Series Direct Drive Kenmore washer. Model 110-20902. (Replaced Maytag).
2003 Kenmore Dryer Model 110-72822. (Replaced Whirlpool).
My parents moved in 2004, and now have these:
1993 Maytag washer
2003 Maytag dryer
