...lid opens to the right; Westy, What's the big deal about that? My 1979 KM's lid does too because the washer sits on the right. Okay, so I drilled a couple a holes, repositioned the lid and bypassed the switch! lol!

Think I'll just replace the washer when she finally conks out. Not too keen on the new models, though, so hopefully it won't happen for a few more years. Thanks anyway. David

Greetings all, I have a 1979 KM Heavy Duty 72433800 washer that I've had since new. It's a fairly basic 2 speed machine. Have never had any problems with it except for an oil leak which has been occurring for years. Not a huge pool on the floor, mind, but enough to cause concern. I'm new here...
