Get the T1!
The W1/T1’s weren’t out when we bought the 6065 set. The PT7035 condenser dryer is just ‘meh’ as a dryer. It heats up really hot, even on low and takes twice as long as the heat pump. The only up side is that everything is much smoother. I dry sheets and jeans in that one with an...
We have both. Bought the Little Giants because we generated laundry that required the hygeine abilities they provide- was a caregiver. They do their job quickly and efficiently, with consistently perfect results. That said, unless you need the temperatures they provide, you will be very happy...
When I lived in Ann Arbor our water was around 12 gr. Used 1/3 scoop for most loads still and bumped it up to 1/2 scoop for heavily soiled stuff, but was washing in a Bosch Nexxt then. If that helps.
This detergent responds well to high temp profile washes. I regularly do 95C washes in the...
Have used UltraWhite for 10+ years. Found that 20- 30cc or about 1/4- 1/3 scoop is my average dose, never above 1/2. Cool thing about this stuff is that it rinses really well in our very soft mountain water, even when overdosed. I use the same dose in the W1 and the PW6065.
T1 hands down
We have a Miele Little Giant condenser dryer and the T1 heat pump dryer. Bought the heat pump b/c the condenser was taking too long to dry. I figured that with the speed of my Little Giant washer, I could have 2 dryers going at once. Well, i was wrong, the T1 dry time matches the...
Here’s the service manual for the PW6065, the previous model. I’ve found it’s a bit tricky to get the sequence just right. There’s also a YouTube vid of the process...
MattL,
One of my favourite fabric stores is Haberman’s in Royal Oak. I haven’t been, there under the new owner, but it used to be the place to buy decorator fabric. People would travel there from all over SE/SC Michigan. Prices were higher-ish ( it is Oakland County, after all) though I could...
So it seems this insert should never be used for bleach
It would appear that neither chlorine bleach nor liquid hydrogen peroxide is especially suited for release in the prewash cycle. And chlorine should probably not be used in this machine at any time. It seems that if one wanted to use...
Heavy soil/ bleach- Mine says that too. My guess is that the part is also used on other models. It’s just a liquid detergent insert for the prewash side. It’s a straight up traditionally functioning, European machine that’s highly customisable in the settings menu. Therefore no provisions for...
No provision for bleach dispensing in the Little Giant. It’s a true European machine, so not even mentioned in the manual. On the rare occasion I use it, I run what needs bleaching on a quick wash (full dose of bleach/ small amt of neutral detergent) at 30c then follow with a full load on...
Great to hear you’ve received your replacement. I’ve had a Little Giant for 3 years now. It’s very, very versatile! I’ve you have any questions, I’m happy to answer!
Awrey’s bakery has always been a fav! I remember the fresh date bars as a kid, mom use to buy them for our dessert. Also, I remember their windmill cookies were the best. [this post was last edited: 11/18/2019-17:38]
LIttle Giant owner here.
First off, let me just say @larsi’s LiGi will be in perfect condition. I would buy it myself if I could.
I was skeptical of capacity at first, it took me awhile to pull the plug. But being a member of this group, I wanted what I wanted and was willing to pay for it. My...
