LG front loader suddenly losing balance

Thanks everyone! I think I'll look into the shock absorber thing. Right now, the washer is behaving with Medium spin. I will keep an eye on things to be sure.

LG front loader suddenly losing balance

I have an LG WM1355HW which I got in mid-2014. It has performed flawlessly until last weekend. During the spin cycle, it made loud noises and started walking. I was washing bath towels. It never did that before. I had to reposition the washer because it got rotated a few inches clockwise. The...

And the award for the most ugly dishwasher control panel goes to .....

Here's my ugly GE circa 1998 It still works, so I won't be replacing it anytime soon. I use Finish Powerballs and everything gets clean for my modest needs. A bit loud however. I still haven't removed the Energy Guide label, lol. When I bought my townhouse brand new in 1998, it included shiny...

Testing The Speed Queen Like CR Does: Cool Water/Stained Load

Frigilux, I have a feeling you won't be too happy with the Nellie's. Since using it, I noticed some small gray streaks on my dark clothes from time to time. They definitely were't there before I put them in the washer. Even after I started using a warm rinse the problem remained. And my whites...

    Liquid vs powder laundry detergent

@henene4 I plan to initially use only the minimum amount of Persil (45 ml) and then adjust up or down based on this. My washer is quite small (only 2.3 cubic feet) so I hope I will need less than what is indicated on the box. Also, the water in my place is soft according to this unscientific...

    Liquid vs powder laundry detergent

@ mrwash How can one determine the age of the Persil I bought? Has the design of the box changed since then? What does the latest box design look like in Germany? My boxes look exactly like the ones on the Canadian and U.S. Amazon websites (and also the Persil Store website) if that means...

    Liquid vs powder laundry detergent

Bought some Persil Megaperls Well, I found a brick-and-mortar store that stocks Henkel Persil, and it's only a 10 minute walk from my home. Very convenient! They had many boxes in stock, so I thought I'd buy some and give them a try. The place is called Reliable Parts...

    "Natural" Laundry Detergent?

Country Save Natural Laundry Detergent I found this in the aisle of my local store: http://www.countrysave.com I also found a blogger who reviewed a bunch of natural detergents: http://www.keeperofthehome.org/2010/11/natural-and-eco-friendly-laundry-soap-reviews-5-moms-test-and-compare.html

    "Natural" Laundry Detergent?

Thanks paulc! Good to know about the Dizolve. I guess I'll just stick with good old powders for now.

    "Natural" Laundry Detergent?

Dizolve laundry strips Anyone here heard of this product? http://mydizolve.com Ingredients: http://mydizolve.com/ingredients/ I do like the super minimal packaging, which seems very eco-friendly and takes up extremely little space. And the price seems pretty reasonable. My only concern is...

    Liquid vs powder laundry detergent

Frigilux, thanks for the tips! I saw your other post in the "Super" forum about soap vs detergent. I guess I should be worried now because I've been using the Nellie's with a cold rinse. Maybe I'll start using a warm rinse from now on. So I take it the Tide is a detergent and can be used with...

    Liquid vs powder laundry detergent

@frigilux So far, I like Nellie's because it doesn't seem to produce a lot of suds. In fact it produces so little that I'm always tempted to put in more. But I have refrained so far. You should also try the Nellie's Oxygen Brightener. It seems to work well with my white work shirts. I must...

    Washing machine picture thread

Yeah, it's probably a bit excessive but I'm usually a bit OCD in the first few months of owning something, such a new car or new appliance. I baby it at first but then I get a bit more relaxed (or lazy, lol) as time goes by.
