Would love a Wedgwood or O'Keefe & Merritt gas stove from the 40s - 50s. Also, I don't know the manufacturer (GE?), but those wall-mounted waist-height fridge-freezer combos.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Loved having a fridge with a bottom-mount freezer when I was a kid in the 60s. Instant access to popsicles!
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
First house in West Seattle, little postwar box with the original 1948 electric stove. Then a Wedgwood with a central griddle and chrome top in a Utah Victorian cottage. Bought a late 20s-early 30s gas Magic Chef with great art deco lines here in IN but passed it on to a chef in Ohio. It was too small. Now using a yuge 1957 GE electric. Miss having the gas.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Yes, I've had parts re-enameled and re-chromed that I took off and put back on. Nothing major.
