    Vintage gift ideas

My moms birthday is coming up soon and I'd like to get her a vintage gift from the year she was born ('56) or at least the same decade. She likes vintage items of all kinds from her childhood, everything from candy to appliances. I've got no idea whatsoever of what I'll get her. I'd like...

Gain Turbo HE Joins Tide Turbo On Walmart's Shelves

Yeah, there are quite a lot of flavors, even in the pods now! I think it just used to be 2 or 3 wasn't it? I've only found the new scents at the commissary so far, but it's nice that there are now more to choose from.

Gain Turbo HE Joins Tide Turbo On Walmart's Shelves

The Botanical Rain (Tide) scent is nice as is the Tropical Sunrise (Gain). Did you see those as well?

Norton not for XP any more.....

We use the ESET Security Suite for all of our devices and we love it. We do a lot of gaming and we never even notice it running in the background. It doesn't bog our systems down the way Norton did.

    What does Gain smell like?

Hmmm, thats a good question. I've never quite been able to put my finger on exactly what it is that it's supposed to smell like. Whatever it is, it smells nice!

    First vintage appliance

Vacosaurus, Thank you for the info/tips on caring for the mixer. My husband finally got around to spiffin' it up and it's running smoothly and even more quiet than before! Turquoisedude, I have the pink/peachy one! It was my grandmothers and looks pretty rough. She would store whatever she...

    Auto Maintance

Both the husband and I got new cars recently so we use the dealer until the free visits run out (I always sit and wait for my car, no one drives it but me) but after that he will take care of everything. He spent years as a mechanic in the Army so we're good to go on that front! He's kept my...

    Resident stain specialists!

Thank you for the replies. I wasn't able to get the stain out, had to buy a complete new uniform (can't mix and match, husband hates it when the tops and bottom don't fade at the same rate) so that sucked and Im out 100 bucks. I will try to products suggested as the top is still soaking and has...

    Resident stain specialists!

Im in trouble... I quickly threw a load of my husbands work clothes into the washer and didn't quite check the pockets good enough (in my defense his uniforms have, literally, about 10 pockets on the tops and on the bottoms) and I missed the ink pen in the little pen holder on his sleeve. I've...

    No more over-sudsing!

I thought the same thing about defoamers and the gas gels so being the nosy nelly that I am, I called to ask. He said many detergents use those ingredients on their own, but in very low concentrations (hence why most HE detergents still produce suds)because they have "undesirable" effects when...

    No more over-sudsing!

I recently had dinner with a friend and her husband. They are both PhD's in biology and chemistry, respectively. The husband is a tenured professor and does a lot of research with the oil industry and others. Somehow we got on the topic of detergents and I was lamenting having to give up Wisk...

    Mattress Shopping :(

nmass, We've been looking into a new set. We bought our current one 2 years ago, got a TOL set and now we wake up sore and dont sleep well. We are interested in the sleep number but I've read reviews where people stated that it's a glorified air mattress that stays cold... Do you have any...

How do hotels make their linens so fresh?

Sorry to take the thread off topic but.. Mich, we are planning a trip to Disney World this fall and will be staying at one of their resorts. I've been leaning towards the Grand Floridian... how did you like it? Is it child friendly or more adult oriented? Did you dine at the Victoria and Albert?

    Tide he Turbo

Jerrod, The back of the box actually said "for large loads use to line 4" and for "he full loads" use to line 5.... it looked as though it was giving dosage for both standard and he machines. Kind of sounds like the Costco box that says to use more for he machines.
