For anyone with a Dyson washing machine, they are discontinuing servicing and spare parts of these machines. Dyson will not be accepting service calls after the 7th of December, so if you have one, it may be worthwhile getting them in.

Of the three pins and the metal plate, you should get a circuit between the two outer pins, and nothing between the outer pins to the middle pin / metal plate. You should also get a reading from the middle pin to the plate, and again nothing to the outer pins. To do this you would need to...
on the electronic pcb, there is a little 3 legged device (triac) that is either clipped or screwed to the heat sink (the metal shell) This allows the correct supply to feed / regulate the motor speed.

There is two knobs behind the door, they are removable dispensers.

IIRC the machine powers door open or closed, I can't remeber if these had two dashes when the door was open or just remained at 00 or whatever programme was selected.
