    Maytag Wringer Help Needed

Did you fix it? Nearly 10 years later, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll see this, but I’m still going to ask if you managed to get it fixed? I was having what sounds like the same issue with mine until I stopped using it several months ago. It seems like everything I’ve found says that if it’s...

    Maytag e2l leaking oil

I think mine has just started dripping but I only got it when I bought my house in April and have used it all summer and just now started noticing it. However I was talking to my neighbors and they said that the older woman who owned the house previously stopped using it because she thought it...

    Maytag e2l leaking oil

Found one bolt Thanks for the luck , I’m going to need it, i never thought about looking at the bolts, I did notice that the bolt attaching the transmission to the bar that runs across the bottom was very loose so I tightened it but I don’t think that was the issue. I also noticed several spots...

    Maytag e2l leaking oil

I have been noticing that some oil drips out of my washer after it has been sitting in between wash days. I circled the area that seems to have the oil or fluid or whatever it is dripping out and based on the repair manual I believe that price would be taken apart to remove the worm gear and I’m...

Top of wringer won’t drop into place

Thank you Thank you so much, that worked, I assumed that resetting the tension consisted of just pushing the bar and turning the reset handle after, you really do learn something new every day

Top of wringer won’t drop into place

I was washing a blanket earlier and made the mistake of putting it through the wringer, after it jammed I shut off and realesed the wringers to pull it out, now it won’t go back down into place, I have tried jiggling it around a little and it looks like part of the locking mechanism might be...

    Wringer won’t turn on

On a side note, I’m not entirely sure if it is supposed to have the pump on it or not, the handle is there but when I turn it to on the sound of the motor doesn’t change at all and the model # doesn’t have “p” on the end of it and I thought it was supposed to have a p on it for models with the pump

    Wringer won’t turn on

Well it fixed itself So I turned the machine on today thinking that maybe I had to to set the tension on the rollers to get them to move and I wasn’t sure if I tried that or not yet and apparently there is a magic spot that the handle needs to be at between two different spots where it “clicks”...

    Wringer won’t turn on

Hmm, I do know of a little antique/shop place that opens up in the summer that I’ve always seen a lot of antique appliances, sinks, furniture etc. at. And I think I might get to know the owner very well this summer, along with buying a vehicle big enough to act a fit something into the back of...

    Wringer won’t turn on

I have done that one the drive rod (didn’t know that was the name until now) does turn, I have tried putting the head back on but the wringer doesn’t engage, I am trying to figure out if I can take the wringer head apart to see if it’s an issue somewhere in the middle I’m starting to feel like...

    Wringer won’t turn on

Here is the picture of my sink that I meant to attach to the previous post, I think it’s more than just seniors that have their moments Also, if anyone has any advise in how to clean up the rust that’s starting to form on the top of the drawers that would be great, I’m considering scraping it...

    Wringer won’t turn on

Ok the rod does not spin, I can see the metal part that you put the roller into with the teeth matched into spinning, that might not make any more sense but I have a hard time explaining things without rambling Here is a picture of my sink, my husband told me he didn’t like it and I made it...

    Wringer won’t turn on

The serial number on it is 359590j but the model number doesn’t have an s on it so unfortunately I don’t think that’s the problem I was completely lost looking at the manual, if you’re talking about what I think you are, I can pull the whole head out of the shaft and shine a flashlight up and...

    Wringer won’t turn on

I also noticed then when I took the bottom roller out and turned it on the gear that it hooks in to doesn’t turn would this be an indication of other issues in the shaft? Or is there a chance that oiling the gears would help?
