I collect small appliances, radios, telephones, magazines Archie Comics, 50s colored aluminum,and 50s glass but my pride and joy is my 1957 GE Ultravision 21 inch console TV
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Circa 1963 Kenmore Combo, a 1963 Kenmore 70 Washer and matching Soft Heat dryer (my mom got these when she was married in 1963 and we had the washer at our summer cottage till 1989), a 1972 Kenmore 800 washer (the first washer I ever remember my mom having). A Circa 1970 GE Combo with the rear controls Anything GM Frigidaire or ABC-Leonard-Kelvinator
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
I remember how my moms Kenmore 800 agitated and filled at the same time during the PP cooldown portion of the PP cycle. I remember the wooshing sound the filter on my moms Kenmore 70 made when it was washing as well as the orange filter light that would glow when ever the machine was agitating and I also remember the unique sounds it made while spinning
