Before I break something... Which way is the bolt in the top of the drive bell removed? Righty or lefty? I've been able to find squat-all repair vids for the washer and the service manual left out this information.

Thanks so much for the help! The cold temp sensor is shot, have to wait until Monday to get a replacement. In the meantime, we simply stuck a two-way on the hot inlet and ran both hoses to that, with them open half-way.

It needs a good cleaning; the tub was full when the motor went out. We've got extremely hard water down here; the usual routine is to run hot water with about a quart of white vinegar, let it set for an hour, and then run through the longest cycle.

Well, we're having to move, and it's looking more & more like I can't take it with me :(. I'm desperate to keep it from the junkyard. At the moment I'm fairly certain it needs a new motor - about $75 - $120. White w/the nice turquoise agitator. I'll post pics if anyone's interested.
