I have made the soap he sells. I used a microplane grater and keep it in a tupperwear container. I saw the formula on a frugal website, and just had to try it. I mix it with Roma detergent and it works fine on towels. I have to stand back when I take the lid off, it will curl your nose hairs...

Right now Persil megaperls color and Sears Ultra in the big 5 gallon bucket. I like my store brand HE liquid that is a "compare to tide" better than the Tide HE. It works better and rinses better too. I prefer powders since I usuall do a prewash on clothes. But do like a liquid on some items.

I use Roma and Blanca Nieves in my LG fl. My water is soft here in east Tennessee. I like to add a bit of grated Fels Naptha to it. I use 2T. detergent to 1t. soap. It works better than any HE detergent that I can find in my markets.
