I'm still looking for Whirlpool part #285586 and #387691 for my Kenmore triple dispenser washer. Please, if anybody has one of these and would be willing to even loan it to me, or just take detailed pictures of it at multiple angles, let me know. I'm most interested in the diverter, as I'm...
Just a note to say a hot wash with bleach made a big difference on the outer tub. I washed for 10 minutes, soaked for 1/2 hour, then washed another 10 minutes.
Yeah I noticed that. I was wondering though... how high can the water level be raised up to by holding the water level control on "Reset" before it would hurt something? A little bit of a soak in hot water would loosen the crud up where it would take less scrubbing to remove. I've also heard...
Thanks everybody. Found the little door for the dispenser hoses and was able to slide them off very easily, and the cabinet came right off. Cleaned up the tub ring and a few other areas on top, but could see the outer tub was quite scaley, so I am going to try a hot water wash and bleach once I...
Just acquired a 90 Plus Series Kenmore washer with the triple dispensers and an 80 Series dryer from Facebook Marketplace that were about an hour away from me. About a week later, I found another identical 90 Plus washer for $40 CAD and 90 Series dryer for $50 CAD about 2 1/2 hours away from...
brisnat81, it is possible that the spring has broken and is not releasing the dispenser door, but it is also possible that the bimetal is not heating up enough to release the spring. The bimetals in this model and other older KitchenAids are run in line with the motor, and it is the current...
raypierrewit, try turning your water level knob past the low setting. On my Canadian Filter Flo, it will go past low and click into position at 7 o'clock and 5 o'clock, resulting in a much lower water level. It is possible though that my control was replaced by the previous owner.
That brief motor run at 14:03 in the thi
rd video must have been hard on timer contacts, with the quick on/off cycle of the motor. Almost looks like spin is engaged, but I guess it is just with no water in the tub the agitator moving the clothes which moves the basket.
This timer in the video is very inter
esting as between the 1st and 2nd increments as well as the 3rd and 4th increments of the cool down period, if the pressure switch is not satisfied, the timer only turns through part of its rotation before the motor stops and the fill continues. Once the...
ianbobian, I can't tell by the photos... what do the control panels say the manufacturer is? My Canadian Filter-Flo set has dark tubs and GE badges on the control panels, but the small model/serial number plate on each machine confirms they were made by Camco.
