left over parts from Frigidaire, GE and a few other brands, from 1960s (a few), 1970s (quite a lot-especially Roller-Matic washers).
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My mom washing our clothes in an old washer that was basically like a wringer washer except it had a small, build in spinner tub on the side.
She ironed clothes on an old mangle.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
in 1967, wife and I bought a 1961 10'x54' Windsor mobile home, with turquoise fixtures and appliances (single door GE refrigerator, Brown gas range, GE washer). I had to replace the oven valve on the range, after my wife got her bangs and eye lashes burned off while trying to relight the pilot. Had to fish a baby sock out of the pump on the GE washer--first baby, first washer repair.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Started working for a company that owned laundromats in 1974. In 1975, a man bought their retail appliance store, and hired me to be the service tech. He sent me to the General Motors Training Center at Hinsdale, IL, to learn Frigidaire appliances. Started my on service business in 1979, and sold in 2018.
