What are your dream machines yet to be found?
-Maytag ADE808 Dryer. Solid tub Speed Queen set like I used to have. A Frigidaire Flair and maybe a Frigidaire 1958 Custom Imperial set.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-Wash day with my Grandmother and her Maytag Wringer. Her Kirby Classic III. I still have it and it looks brand new. My mothers Philco Automagic Washer and her Norge Dryer with the great big lint screen at the bottom behind the flip-down door. Examining my Moms Compact vacuum cleaner. Getting my hand caught in my Grandmothers wringer when she and my Mom were in a different part of the house.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
-Matching Speed Queen Washer & Dryer set. Probably early to mid 60s model. Glass control panel lit with incandescent light. Haven,t seen any like them since. Lady Kenmore dishwasher, 70s model, Harvest gold, as I recall.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
-Worked on the Speed Queen washer once. Restored late 60s, early 70s Maytag Automatic washer. Restored Maytag 806 Washer. Restored Maytag DE808 Dryer. Restored several KitchenAid KDS-20 Dishwashers. Worked on 1982 Amana Refrigerator. Installed a pitman type transmission in a Maytag LAT9800AAW. Restored Maytag HA806 set.
