Thanks for the advice everyone! I knew there had to be a hidden screw somewhere, just hadn't found it yet. :-) Last question: what's a good source to find replacement parts like this? I've found the part number on various sites, but so far they all say it has been discontinued.

Thanks for the help! I was guessing the timer/timer motor unit was probably to blame. At the moment I'm having difficulty figuring out how it comes off (I have a feeling there's a hidden screw somewhere I'm just not seeing!). Thanks also for your help in figuring out which timer piece it uses...

Hi, I have a Maytag A606S washer that recently stopped advancing from cycle to cycle on its own. All the cycles seem to work just fine (it fills, agitates, drains, etc), but I have to manually advance the dial to keep everything going. Poking around online I am wondering if it is the timer, but...
