What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
As a kid being fascinated by watching washing machines go into a spin. Then being more fascinated with watching other machines such as the Maytag Newton going into a spin as it emptied the water. It looked like a cyclone. Lol!

As a kid I was fascinated with the Kitchenaid by Hobart dishwasher and how different it was all around. I found it unique how you pressed a button to start it but never had to turn the dial. Cheep thrills as a kid I guess.

As a kid we had a elderly friend of the family that I would help out. The laundry room in her apartment had Speed Queen solid tub top loaders. Of course as a young kid I never knew any of that. I do remember watching that machine wash and go into a spin often because I could never figure out how the water escaped from the tub as it went into a spin being the tub had no visible drain holes in it. I was also fascinated how during the rinse portion of the cycle it would not stop filling up with water even as the agitation started. It continue to bring in water all the way up the time it went into a spin. As a young kid I could never figure out how it didnt overflow. I never remember hearing it drain out the drain pipe. However, now I understand all that stuff. LOL!
