Blackstone Prices from 50 Years Ago

I'm not entirely sure in what year Blackstone stopped manufacturing. Definitely mid-1970s. Our store was able to buy leftover new machines after production stopped.

Blackstone Prices from 50 Years Ago

John, Now that you mention it, I do remember a copper. Must have been less popular than avocado, although I think it looked better.

Stainless Steel Dishwasher Bottom Panel (KitchenAid?) For Sale

I'm selling this panel, and figured that I would ask the forum first. Stainless steel, excellent condition. If my memory serves me right, this panel is from an old KitchenAid. We sold them in our store. Dimensions: 26" wide; 25-1/8" center-to-center for holes; 9-1/2" high; 3/4" depth of edges...

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS - Please Read This...

This website has been, and continues to be, an invaluable resource, especially for me. Back in 2006, after my parents had died, and I had to close up the family business (Acme Electronic Co., Springfield, Mass.), I was faced with the quandary of how to dispose of decades worth of appliances...

    Home Depot Dryer Installation!! Seriously???

Long Way from Chicopee David, There is only 1 Home Depot in Chicopee, so it would be the same store. Whatever brought you up here to Chicopee? What struck me about your comment is actually finding a check-out register with employees. Whenever I go to HD (mostly in West Springfield), you have...

    Cloth-Covered Power Cords

I'm thinning out my collection of these power cords. I'll never use this many. I'll save a few for myself. Let me know if interested, and what you would offer for them. Offering them here, before I list on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.

Philco-Bendix Coin Operated Top Loaders made by Blackstone!

Coinbox Tom, My father drilled a hole in the top the coinbox, and put knob onto the timer shaft, so the washer could be easily started. Would have been more fun to just use quarters, however!

Philco-Bendix Coin Operated Top Loaders made by Blackstone!

Personally, I had never seen a Philco-branded Blackstone; but that machine is definitely a late-model Blackstone (perforated tub). My father bought one for the store, just to have it on display. Eventually sold it to a personal friend, who needed a supply of quarters on hand to do the laundry...

    Blackstone dryer

Blackstone Dryer This model was neither the first one made, nor the last one made. Probably early 1970s, but I'd have to check. Latest models did not have the foot pedal. Fairly basic dryer. One frequent problem was the metal ring that was part of the drum support would wear out. There was a...
