    Suggested replacement for Miele W1986?

I have an idea for you to keep your current dryer and get a new Miele W1 washer without having to do any electrical work. I have a 2 year old 240V Miele washer (the last ones made at 240V in Canada) and a 120V Miele T1 dryer. If you have a 240V splitter box from Miele that you use for your...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

I looked into the availability of the other heat pump dryers (Bosch, Samsung, LG) in my area and they are all backordered - most until August if you can trust the predictions. Apparently Samsung has been most predictable with deliveries according to the appliance store. Henene4 - Does the...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

Thanks for all of the replies! I would love to get the Miele T1 and have paid for one but if the stock situation remains as it is, I will have to get a different brand since I can't wait until October to get the dryer. I am not a fan of the self-cleaning heat pump technology as it sounds like...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

I placed my order for the Miele heat pump dryer and was told the delivery would be in early August which was no problem. Now it's moved back to October or possibly December! I cannot wait until October for delivery so I am starting to look to the other options... Does anyone have any...

    Replacing Maytag Neptune

I have a Miele washer and love it. The temperature control is much better than a top loader as it has a heater. Delicates/wool/silk are all treated very well. Cycle times are longer than a top loader though so if speed of washing is important to you a top loader might be best.

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

Henene4 - thanks for the Insignia brand information! Do you know how many amps the Samsung heat pump dryer draws? The information online states it’s 240v and requires a 30 amp plug but I can’t see a heat pump dryer actually using 30 amps. I’ve read the manual and called Samsung but no luck. The...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

I was all ready to place my order for the T1 (TWB120WP) and I learned Miele now charges $650 to deliver to my rural location! I bought a Miele washer less than a year ago delivered to the same house for $120. Jkbff - I wish I could buy it from the USA as $1200USD is much less than $2000CAD...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

Thanks for all of the replies! aamassther - your direct experience with Miele condenser vs. heat pump dryers is very useful and pushes me towards the heat pump stevefromsydney - I wonder why your Bosch heat pump gets so hot? From what I understand the Miele doesn't get very hot. Fingers...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

Thanks for your informative reply! I have a Miele washer that spins at 1500rpm (W1753 purchased last summer). It's a 240V machine but I have a Miele splitter for my one 240V plug. I should have mentioned that I also need the dryer to be a max of 15 amps for me to be able to run it on the...

Bosch condenser or Miele heat pump dryer?

I am debating between a Bosch 300 series condenser dryer and a Miele T1 classic heat pump dryer. I have a vented dryer now but the vent went through the old window pane and we replaced the window so now are looking for a ventless machine. I'm in Canada. If cost were equal I'd get the Miele. I...

    Miele w1753 water level question

Updates? Any luck solving the low water level problem with the Miele technician visit? Are you able to select sensitive (extra rinse) with the extra white cycle? Miele said that this is possible despite the manual saying it isn't but I would prefer to verify with someone who has the machine...

    Miele W1753 fill temperature

I'm considering buying the Miele W1753 washing machine. It's a basic level Miele but with the 240V heater and max temp of 90C. I want to be able to do a profile wash in the machine (start cold, gradually heat up) for protein based stains. I've read on some forum posts that the heavy soil/pre...

    Gorenje washer/dryer thoughts?

Thanks for all the feedback! It's funny that these Gorenje machines are simple, and dumb compared to other European options because compared to standard north american machines they seem to be more advanced wrt heating and customization of the programs. Leaning toward the Miele washer after...

    Gorenje washer/dryer thoughts?

Hello, I'm in Canada, looking to buy a thermostatic heated European washer. There is a Gorenje set that appears to check all the boxes for a reasonable price (W8544PA/D8565NA) The dryer is a heat pump. Comes with a 5 year warranty. There are almost no reviews on these machines that I can find...

    Detergent dosing

I am new to this site, and have found topics very interesting! I live in the country and have well water, which is hard. I use Wisk non HE detergent which I have to purchase in the States. In any case, I noticed that even on the final rinse there are still suds appearing when the machine is...
