Model I pulled it out and found the model # LAT8826AAE. Belts look good, although they seem loose.

Thanks I will try that. It was given to us about a month ago when our 7 year old LG front loader broke. Therefore, most of what I know about this one is guesswork. We'll see if I can fix it, otherwise I will look into Speed Queen's.

Have a 6-7 yr. old top loading maytag. Last night while washing it smelled loke burning rubber and would not agitate, however during the spin cycle it spun. When I took the towels out the tub rocked back and forth. Not sure what to make of it. Any suggestions?
