What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My earliest washing machine memories are with my parents first washing machine, an Ignis. It was with an mechanical timer and controls when I was 3-4 years old. It broke down in 2008. Also, my grandmas AEG ÖKO_LAVAMAT 6650 which I was always scared of when I was 4 years old lmao, I remember running across her house and yelling when it tumbled!
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
I dont have my own personal appliances yet as I have no space for it although I am planning to get in the future with an AEG ÖKO_LAVAMAT 6650 as well as other washing machine models Im looking at. however, it all started with an IGNIS washing machine my parents had from late 1999 to mid 2008 before they bought a Siemens S10-42 (E-Nr. WM10S420GR/11, FD 8803) when I was only 5, which lasted for about 14 years. Now, I have a Miele W1, model WWG 660 WCS with TwinDos. It weighs 94kg and was priced at 1250€! It really has the perfect and proper Miele quality, intelligently made programming, and the classic Miele sound (chugging pump, clothes/water splashing, spinning sound)
I have always relied on my parents and grandparents washing machines. My grandma from moms side had the exact same IGNIS washer as my parents, until she bought a 2006 Zanussi Aquacycle 850 FA 8023 which works even today, My grandma from dads side used to have the AEG ÖKO_LAVAMAT 6650 sensortronic from 1991(?) to 2015, which eventually became one of my favourite washing machines of all time and Im looking for it since they scrapped it.
