Rear-control induction stoves rise from the dead.

Here are 2 pizzas I made from scratch, on 2 separate occasions, both cooked on convection bake.

Rear-control induction stoves rise from the dead.

I always use convection when I make pizza, bake muffins, cookies, cakes, etc. Never had an issue with the food being cooked unevenly...in fact it actually cooks more even because the circulating air keeps the temperature in the oven more even.

looking for the modern equivalent of a vintage kitchen aid dishwasher

I am on a well system also. I have a whole house water filter system installed right after the holding tank. You can buy them for less than $100 and are easy to install. The filter needs to be replaced based on your water usage but are relatively inexpensive. The ones I use remove sediment...

    NYT on Induction Cooking

Yup, I am on my 2nd Generac. The first one lasted 9 years....although the engine was fine and it started when the electricity went out, the generator would not generate electricity. I was told repairs could be $2500 or more so I ended up instead buying another Generac as they were offering a...

Thanks for all you have done Robert and good luck in your retirement! I hadn't been on Vacuumland in a couple of days and needless to say when I went to the site today and found the new format, I was flabbergasted. Lots of browsing to do now to figure it all out. Gary

Can Haier really be so cheap?

My current car, a '21 Volvo XC60 came with a printed manual. It also has the manual available on the screen and is searchable. I just test drove a '25 Genesis GV70 yesterday and the sales person told me that a hard copy manual does not come with the car. I much prefer a hard copy manual over...

Time for a new front loader...

I purchased the Electrolux top of the line 7637AT washer about 10 months ago. One of the options is 'Pure Rinse' which according to the manual does a better rinse than the option 'Fresh Rinse' on the lower end models. I was using the Towels cycle selection yesterday and it did 4 rinses. I...

Pennies punched through & used in GE appliances as substitute

Canada stopped using the penny in 2013. When paying for something with cash, the amount is rounded up/down to the nearest $.05. Only when paying by credit or debit card, do you pay the exact amount of the transaction. The $1 paper bill was replaced in 1987 with the 'loonie' coin and the $2...

    New Electrolux Washer ELFW7637AT

I do. I got mine as well as the dryer (2 models lower however) last Dec. I previously had a Kenmore HE5t washer & dryer for 20 years. I've got no complaints with the washer - cycles are a bit shorter than on the Kenmore. Everything is washed and rinsed well albeit I don't have heavily...
