If i took the agitator out of the machine and took it apart and washed the parts in the dishwasher(Kenmore Ultra Wash) with a Cascade complete tab what does everyone think the results could be? Any thoughts? Chris

I always wash in hot or warm, and dissolve fabric softener with hot water. I think my issue is using too much Downy. Because of this i cut my downy usage to a third of a capful and I always make sure its watered down. Thanks for the advice, i plan on tearing the machine down and following...

How do i get rid of this nasty fabric softener gunk that is accumulating on the agitator and forming a nasty ring around the tub. Its my 2000 model year Kenmore 70 3 speed. Im also starting to notice a little bit on my new Whirlpool belt drive on the agitator.

3 Speed Model 70 Here is my 3 speed Model 70. Its a 2000 model. It was treated to a new clutch assembly and motor coupler and a pump. It does not have Automatic Temp Control. It does however have the quiet pak insulation.

Pic 3 Dispenser door is missing. Are the dispenser doors still available, and how do i Tell if the release mechanism still works to dispense the detergent? I have been throwing Cascade Packs in at the beginning of the prewash on normal cycle, then again on the main wash cycle.
