FB MarketPlace Find: 1985 SPIN-DRAIN Kenmore DD!

John L On the blue DA agitator John, do you have a picture of what it looked like? I knew the pump was OEM, just found it real interesting that they didn't put a mark like a rhombus or a circle or an "X" like on the later ones. The part# for this pump is 63347. The one that came before that...

FB MarketPlace Find: 1985 SPIN-DRAIN Kenmore DD!

Welp.....I spoke too soon. This is why it's always wise to test your machines both without AND with a load (even just water) in it. When ran empty/dry it doesn't do this. Agitator gear in the transmission is shot. No big deal since I have spare parts on hand, but still a bummer.

FB MarketPlace Find: 1985 SPIN-DRAIN Kenmore DD!

Today I had planned to get this machine which was located about 2-½ hrs away from home in Buhl ID since it was a freebie (mom also came along for the ride and we did some other sight-seeing in Twin Falls for her mother's day present, great day all around). Guy said it wouldn't spin, to which I...

Commercial Whirlpool Washer Sounds Like It's Filling But Isn't

Thank you all for input So I went ahead and ordered a new valve. I had noticed somebody had tampered with the supply shutoff valves coming out of the wall so it was about ¾ of the way off, so I turned them all the way on and told them to keep it on hand and if the problem still persists call...

Commercial Whirlpool Washer Sounds Like It's Filling But Isn't

The guy also said he checked the valve screens and they were clean. No leaks on the hoses either.

Commercial Whirlpool Washer Sounds Like It's Filling But Isn't

I had to go today to look at a commercial washer model# CAE2745FQ1 because the maintenance guy said he'd hear it running like it was filling but no water was coming into the tub. Said no signs of water leaks or spraying anywhere else from the back or underneath. When I got there it was...

My Newest Find From Day Before This Post:

Sure enough! (Found cause of stuck motor) As you can see, indeed something got in and jammed that pump! Looks like a piece of towel or washcloth or something like that. Pump has also leaked in the past. I had one of these new old stock pumps that was that same part# (3348015) but I already...

My Newest Find From Day Before This Post:

1989 Whirlpool dark gray-panel DD. Thing's basic and a beauty! Was told it flooded laundry room out, and cannot turn the motor coupler by hand at all with agitator locked onto transmission (agitate mode) so either something fell in and jammed the pump or the transmission is seized up for some...

Question about early 60's Maytag colors

New Harvest or non shaded harvest gold Thanks John. Did they ever actually make a direct drive that color? Steven

Question about early 60's Maytag colors

Reply #17 Upon searching for a panel for a 1990 Whirlpool washer on searspartsdirect, I found the color codes listed for that part but there was one listed there which I still can't figure out what it meant! I already understood that W = White, AL = Almond, TO = Toast and PL = platinum. But...

3 Speeds On A 2 Speed Direct Drive

To my point in the video about the extra plug on the 3 speed motors: they'll be two wires, one white/violet, one white/orange. Then a third wire (violet/white from the factory) going FROM the motor through the harness plug up to feed the switch.
