A late 70s-80s Frigidaire "thumper style" washer
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Watching my mom do laundry in our basement in Baltimore. I remember the machine had a fluorescent light that would flicker on when she raised the lid. It also lit up the tub. I was amazed by the sounds and noises it made! And I LOVE the smell of detergents and clothes drying.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Not appliances, but my dad and I used to restore American 1950s cars. Im currently doing a frame-off restoration on a 1951 Mercury coupe.
