Thank you guys for being so nice to me!

I am kinda surprised how nice such a tight knit community as yourselves accepts newbies. No hazing! :) Seriously though, thank you for accepting me into your community. I wish I could go to the get together and see the cool washers, dryers and dishwashers. Just a little too far for me...you...

Helloooo to one and all you vintage appliance-o-philes!

How frigging cool is THAT dishwasher!!! Holy cowbeans! That would look great in our kitchen. We actualy have a 2007 Kenmore portable DW with a butcherblock top that we are kinda using as an island. I needed a DW, hubby loves to cook and produces waaaay too many dishes for this VERY pregnant...

    GOT PIX!!!

I do have friends in Cali that like the stove However they have more modernistic Vikings in their kitchens. I am actually going to be selling the stove probably within the next year myself. We are going with stainless steel appliances. But I'll pass the info along! Tis a nice looking stove. -ck

    GOT PIX!!!

Yep that is a built in ironing board with the board AND original iron in place beneath it. The telephone nook is adorable I have to agree with you. I quilt, but my craft room is upstairs, so we just put a china cabinet over that wall because I did not want to do anything drastic. We love the...

Helloooo to one and all you vintage appliance-o-philes!

Our kitchen is a straight line affair The kitchen is pretty straight-forward as you can tell. The kitchen sinks are HUGE and cast iron covered in thick enamel. I know for a fact this kitchen was built in 1950 and has not been changed or remodeled....no island. However it is huge, and has a...

    GOT PIX!!!

I finally got a picture of the fabulous stove...and a link to where you can view our virtually untouched 50's house before we moved in (i.e. CLEAN!). Like I said, I love the kitchen, and the hardwood floors are to die for! Sometimes I can't believe this is my house now! wooo!! -ck...

Helloooo to one and all you vintage appliance-o-philes!

I do love the kitchen just the way it is! Just not some of the appliances....although the stove is groing on me. We don't plan on touching the cabinets. Just redo the linolium floor and put in an island. I mean, c'mon...how cool is this kitchen??

how many people have a portable dishwasher?

Portables are great! We just bought a house with an original 50's kitchen, ergo no appliances built into the cabinets. Our brand new Kenmore portable is a full size DW that can be converted easily into a plumbed-in DW when we finally get around to building the island. Love the butcher block...

Helloooo to one and all you vintage appliance-o-philes!

I have been reading posts on this site since 2003 and just now decided to become a member. My husband and I just moved into a gorgeous house in February, built in 1950, and we are the second owners. The house came complete with a GE Stratoliner Deluxe stove, Whirlpool Princess Series fridge, old...

I'm not sure what year this washer/dryer is...

So I don't know if I am in the right place... The dryer is Harvest Gold (gotta be, granma had an old fridge this color) and has the "F" with a crown on top and 'mark of quality' underneath with a badge that says "Frigidaire, a General Motors, Co. product" next to it...also has something saying...

Electric GE Stratoliner Deluxe Tripl-Oven stove

We recently purchased a house and a fabulous 50's white and chrome kitchen came with it. I really do love the stove, and have never seen one like it, with it's big burner, two smaller burners and the odd Thrift-E cooker (like a slow cooker on your cooktop!). It also works, which is a miracle...
