    Stupid jetsystem!

You have a point re wetting large loads, but I am more of a "higher water level" man :-) The first time it had blocked, the actual tube leading upto the top of the drum was blocked by a seed, and it took the engineer ages to get to it and blow the seed out, which would have been solved by a...

    Stupid jetsystem!

It does bring the noise of the washer up a lot, without the recirc pump the washer is very very quiet. I'm still not convinced the recirc pump does much to be honest. That pump is only spraying a 1.5cm wide jet of water, now when you have a large load, that is only reaching a very small amount...

    Stupid jetsystem!

3rd time now on my electrolux EWF12108 the recirculation pump has got jammed with fluff or something else trivial and by the end of the wash -- it has burnt out. Now I do love watching the washing machine go round, but I can't supervise it all day incase something jams the silly pump (first...

    The perfect crime...

Depends how subtle you want to be..... what about turning the timer knob round really fast for a few minutes (a favourite past time of young children not realising it will break the machine) while the machine is switched on. Surely that will bugger it up.

    dyson 2 drums

The way the machine spins is beautiful, I have never seen such a unique spin, and noise for that matter. The distribution looked great, and when it ramps up to maximum speed the sound is amazing. As carlstock said, the spin perhaps reminded me of the hotpoint 95 series. Wonderful machine.

What do your washer & dryer sound like?

I will always remember the noise of the classic hotpoint 95 series, and of course the noise it makes as it jumps into full spin speed.. I have also noticed my new Electrolux Insight also has the same drain pump noise than the old ones did....

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, The engineer said zanussi/electrolux had planned to enable the machines to upgraded via an infra-red device connected to a computer for future wash profiles etc, but they decided to scrap the idea as it would cost too much to pay for the hardware for the engineers... They may well be...

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, Spoke to the engineer today about the rinse levels and he said they are fixed, the only time you would get a software upgrade is if they needed to replace the module. I assume he meant that the PCB has a fixed memory on it? I assume Dyson upgrade thier machines using a new EPROM-type...

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, In the past I have always had good service from engineers, the previous time I had to call serviceforce out they were round within 3 days and the engineer was great, we got talking about the jetsystem and he said that quite a few of them have gone wrong. I'm not sure what is going on...

    Request for washer videos

I have another dyson video from the same person that did the one that 2DrumsAllergy mentioned. Its quite similar but I will upload it tomorrow anyway. If you can get a video of your two machines David that would be great :)

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, sorry for the late reply. Still not sorted i'm afraid, phoned them up today and they said they still haven't got the part in. The machine was/is actually smelling of burning when it is on, so I think the pump module may well have burned out, but he said no diag codes were being...

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, Just an update about my machine, I had no sucsess with the engineer today (he refused to accept that the jetsystem was not working as it was showing no fault codes, until I told him to run a wash cycle). He pressed some buttons to get the diagnostic codes up but wouldn't tell me how...

What machine should I buy now?

Hi David, Intresting about your sisters machine and the water level, my EWF12108 is very poor on rinse levels, when the engineer comes this week to fix the jetsystem I will ask him about this... Have fun with the Miele :-)

What machine should I buy now?

Hello TwoDrumsAllergy, Sorry to hear about your electrolux, but as you say it is a good thing as they are poor rinsers, I have discussed on here before about the very low water level when rinsing, regardless of how good the jetsystem is supposed to be, you need water to take out the detergent...

Fantastic looking machine you have there, and the options look great. This may be my next dryer to go well with my insight :-) Seems you got a fantastic bargin :-)
