I have a question about the performance of vintage dishwashers? Not those vintage KA, GE, WP's etc. that have a good record, but odd ones like the Kaiser water powered, Apex, bow tie impellers, and those odd designs. Did these machines disappear from the market because of poor performance? Or...

On the Portland Oregon Craigslist, there is an ad under the Antiques section for Antique Appliances. The is a GE washer from 1956, that the ad said has never been used, plus some other appliances. Sorry can't give a link.

On the Portland Oregon CL item number 3246130144 is a vintage KA dishwasher that appears to be in working condition.

Thanks for all your help and comments. I'm going with a KA KUDS301, it has front contols, SS interior, disposal, the turbo jets, and the lowest db. It should arrive Fri, I'll keep you posted on it's function.
