What was the us counterpart of this canadien made kenmore whirlpool washer

Looks pretty similar to my ‘86 Kenmore 70 Series machine. Same dual action agitator and fabric softener dispenser, Belt driven, and similar tub design. Hard to make out all the cycle options but it looks pretty similar. I’ll attach a picture of it for reference. Note that I’ve also converted...

    Frigidaire Unimatic washer

If it wasn’t in Pennsylvania, I would go pick it up in a heartbeat. Definitely a good deal!

    Whirlpool DAA Vs. Kenmore DAA

Part Numbers These are the part numbers for the full assemblies of the turquoise agitators. The first one is for the non dual action (Penta scrub, as I’ve heard it called), and the second one should be for the large base kitchenaid agitator.

Looking to buy: Maytag Chrome Cap / Lint Filter

Reply #3 I’m not sure if you’re wanting to part with it, but if you ever were to decide, I would love to get the whole agitator as well. I’m really the most interested in the lint filter cap, but I know the agitator is a little different, with the fins connecting at the base as well. If you’re...

Looking to buy: Maytag Chrome Cap / Lint Filter

Reply #1 Yes, pretty much exactly like that. I’ve always loved the look of the black agitator with the chrome (or is it stainless steel?) dispenser and lint filter assembly like in those pictures. I would love to find one if possible, since I now have a machine with a black agitator.

Looking to buy: Maytag Chrome Cap / Lint Filter

Hello all! I am looking to find and obtain for a reasonable price, one of the chrome cap and lint filter assemblies for an older standard tub Maytag. I’m not sure how many of them are out there, but I would love to add some chrome in place of the turquoise lint filter on my A106, that stands out...

Different size KA agitators The large ones also had a slightly different size Auger assembly, consisting of four spiral segments, instead of three like on the WP models. I can get you a part number over the weekend for it, but here’s a picture of the two sizes side by side. I also have the...

    Refreshing My ‘69 Maytag A106

One thing I noticed during cleaning, that also contributed to the sluggish agitation, is that the main pitman link, which in this case is bolted to the gear that drives it, did not really want to turn freely. The old oil was so tacky that the gears seemed to be kind of “stuck” together so to...

    Refreshing My ‘69 Maytag A106

Splitting the case Today I dived the rest of the way into the transmission, which included separating the case halves and getting all of that old fluid out of there. I drained the fluid into a container with line markings on it, and, other than being very old, gummy, and dark, the correct...

    Refreshing My ‘69 Maytag A106

Reply #13 I forgot to mention it above, but I have a new O-Ring ready to go into the machine, as well as a new spring washer. I also have a NOS groove pin, but that’s mostly just to have for the future, and don’t plan to use it in the machine since I don’t plan to remove the agitator shaft, as...

    Refreshing My ‘69 Maytag A106

Transmission Removed! Today I got the last few components removed (Belts, pulley, and brake assembly) And was able to get the transmission pulled up and out of the washer. So far, everything has been going very well, and I got a chance to clean up the inside of the machine some since everything...

Thank you for confirming that for me. A new one will be ordered ASAP. I apologize if any of the previous posts seemed to ramble. I’m very excited and also very nervous. I appreciate the help very much! - Henry

Agitator bushing? The one question I have, is about this bushing, or seal looking component that I will picture below. While removing components (I don’t remember exactly when I noticed it), I saw that this was torn. I’m not sure if it’s a seal, or just part of what locks the agitator down...
