    Appliance colours

Almond, not a fan of it either. Have to say that almond is just about the last color one would pick, maybe people who pick almond coloured appliances are trying to be different in their own way. I think Steve McQueen started the trend towards almond appliances and chocolate brown cars.

198? Miele W5510 415volt commercial front loader on ebay

three phase in Australia Dear jetcone, as far as I know, in Australia, we generally have single phase 240 volts and three phase 415 volts. Apparently three phase power in homes in the United States is almost non existant, don't know why. Single phase motors above 10hp (7500watts) are rare...

See some old washers at my place

Fantastic Miele duo Simply beautiful machines. Timeless design and they look to be in fantastic original condition. Pity rich people haven't got the option of buying machines that are this stylish. The expensive modern range of Miele is good but these are special!

198? Miele W5510 415volt commercial front loader on ebay

I saw this three phase Miele on Ebay. It's in Victoria and the start is a not unreasonable $500. Made in West Germany. It looks like a commercial machine that has had very little use OR one that has not been abused. I think it would be a lot of fun to own and use! Is there someone out there who...

Australian Simpson '700' Series Washers Use and Care Manual Scan

Hoover, the great demise. I think what happened to Hoover was most unfortunate. I distinctly remember the period of 1994-1999. I was setting up house and shopping for appliances. That period really was the end of the more-or-less Australian made appliance. I imagine Southcorp instigated the...

Australian Simpson '700' Series Washers Use and Care Manual Scan

Simpson 700 series I have seen a large number of these machines thrown out on the clean ups (especially Eastern suburbs). I do remember looking at buying a Hoover top loader new around 1994 and being kind of shocked at the "stainless" bowl being an extra cost option over the painted steel drum...

197? Westinghouse dryer photos coming Hi Ash, Thanks for your response & information about the 1979 Wilkins Servis Choice article, and alerting me to the fact as having been made by Toshiba. When I moved the machine two years ago I do remember the capacitor/s as being marked Toshiba, however...

1972 baby Westinghouse made by Matsushita & Simpson fluid dr Hi everyone! I have a real soft spot for the "small" dryers. The first Simpson compact probably holds the record for being the heaviest "per cubic centimetre" clothes dryer ever made. The LARGE Simpson (companion to the fluid drives)...

My mini top loading Wilkins Servis is Japanese I've just joined. I'm a diehard Simpson Fluid Drive fan. But I play around with everything. I have a most unusual Wilkins Servis top loader that is either made by National or Hitachi, from Sth Aust. Has anyone seen one or is anyone familiar?
