@launderess aaah! I've enjoyed your reports of adventures of your Mobile Maid over the recent years, hope you find a home for the parts. Wear rubber gloves to take care of your manicure since I don't think Madge is still around!
@daveamkrayoguy Hey Dave, thanks for bringing a musical interlude to some of these topics, you have a great knowledge of the music of our times, thank you, Walter
Turnover!
Wow, rapid turnover to go along with RapiDry spin- I had to check YouTube play back speed and saw that's real life super fast turnover. Fun machines seeing and believing your clothes are getting clean before your eyes.
@Chetlaham Wow man I'm impressed, real deep fat fries at home, I imagine everything was perfectly crisp and not soggy, what is your coating on the onion rings and chicken? Looks delicious, as do Eddie's hot dog and hamburger buns.
Long Dry Time
Pierre if your dry time recently seems to be too long disconnect the exhaust piping and check both the outlet from dryer and if you have electric leaf blower blow out the exhaust piping, you might be surprised with the amount of lint that could be stuck in exhaust pipe. Even if I...
favourite dryer
Well that would have to be my current Fisher & Paykel top loading dryer, continuous auto reverse and auto self cleaning lint filter with a collection bucket that holds at least 15-20 mixed loads worth of lint-a great feature.
Launderess-permanent memory file
Wow! First few seconds of 1956 Whirlpool Ad and the phrase Kukla, Fran and Ollie comes to the front of my
thoughts-even though that show was not a favourite of mine. Amazing compendium of memories in our brains,
whether useful or not, sometimes I find quick...
Many thanks
Robert thank you for all you have done here, from myself having repaired my washer with the aid of the
knowledge you and the people here have shared, to the preservation of history, the environmental benefits
of repair and reuse, and the shared camaraderie and laughs along the...
a couple suggestions
HI William, it looks like you could add on another 2-3 inches on standpipe if you had the pump out hose in a
straight vertical run-that might be enough to prevent the problem.
The white vertical pipe if a drain as well as the diagonal drain might be also draining...
Whoa! rebadged Haier
wow that's a big step backwards and a disappointment-is the Haier design that much cheaper to manufacture?
I was hoping for a return of the top loaders to Canada and USA for the possible time my GWL 11 has to be
replaced, only a pump replacement done by myself easily in...
Persil universal pulver -unscented-
@launderess- I didn't know they made an unscented version, I will check that out back home in Canada but also check the version here in Mexico while on holiday just now, I expect it will be scented.
What I have found out here is that still this year both...
possibly intermittent low/high voltage
I don't know if at all similar situation but you mentioned 105 volts at some part of spin attempt but a friend's slow agitation no spin when full problem was voltage power line problem. Tree branches rubbing, pulling on overhead power supply line to house...
High quality bathroom tile work, eclectic aspenite panels
I do like the blue bathroom, great tile work in the shower and tub alcoves, floors, must be on lath and concrete. Interesting use of the Aspenite-a precursor to OSB, larger wood flakes and a heater skelter look- panels for cabinet...
absolute surge protection between use
I unplug my Fisher & Paykel washer each time after use as they advise in their owners manual, close to 20 years for my GWL 11, have a plug in surge protector on the electric outlet.
