    Imported Laundry Aids?

LOOOL,I read the title and I thought that you bought imported clothes that were contaminated with AIDS and you were trying to wash them in order to disinfected. Maybe Downy is manufactured in a manufacturing plant outside the USA, in Mexico or somewhere else, while Tide is 100% made in the US.

Unilever launches new range of stain removal products(?)

As I searched online,I found out that the stuff is primarily sold throughout the whole latin america, under different names depending on the coutry(Omo in brazil,Ala in argentina,Nevex in chile etc.)Portugal is the only european country where it is sold.I suppose that this is a test launch in a...

Unilever launches new range of stain removal products(?)

Well, isn't it stupid to push liquids so hard and then launch extra stain removing products to compensate for their lack of bleach and enzymes?Just use powder on whites and hard-stained clothes!Problem solved without buying rip-off stain removing products!Fortunately here in Greece,although...

Unilever launches new range of stain removal products(?)

I've seen on Portuguese page of "Skip" ,which is the european name of Persil outside UK, that there is a new range of oxygen bleach based stain removers with the brand name "Skip".Is is pretty similar to Vanish.Unfortunately the product did not yet become available in Greece,so I am not able...

    Yet another detergent question...

I think that italian Dash is exactly the same product with the european Ariel. As regards the smell, gym clothes should be washed at least at 40 ºC on a normal cycle. Many people wash them on short cold-water cycles. This isn't enough if you want to get completely rid of funky smells.

    Who uses rinse aid?

I always use rinse aid in my 2009 Bosch dishwasher, with "extra drying" option turned on.I prefer to buy the cheap lidl brand rather than expensive ones( e.g. finish) as they do exactly the same job.All crockery come out completely dry ,except the plastic bowls which have a few water droplets...

    Preferred Laundry Space

Here in Greece most homes have their washing machines in the bathroom.I have it in the kitchen because my bathroom is pretty cramped.Very few homes have dryers and/or separate laundry rooms.

    Goods from Greece!

Detergents Update: What are you using?

Skip or Ariel bio powder+some oxy powder for whites and light coloureds, Omo, Neo-mat or Essex liquid for dark coloreds and delicates.

Water softeners(Calgon etc.)-Do they really make washing machine live longer?

Water softening additives, such as Calgon, are often advertised through greek tv channels, and I think that the same happens in the rest of the europe too(most Calgon ads we see here are french or german ads dubbed in greek). They promise to stop limescale deposits and to remove any dirt and...
