That Pulsator Thanks eurekastar, When I showed the machine to a 'non-appliance oriented' engineering friend he didn't believe that that little pulsator could move the water. Let alone provide such a vigourous wash action. It took a demonstration to convince him.

About the rollers Thanks Mike. The bottom roller required a bit of sanding as it showed quite a bit of cracking, the top roller wasn't too bad. Yep the clothes do get a decent whirl. I guess the tub ratios changed to increase the wash capacity on later models. I wonder what the rationale...
