I love the cabinet on these, with the brightwork and little vertical crease down the front, it makes for a very classy looking appliance. And if the old gal uses a bit of water, well, she's old enough to drink!

I checked SigAlert to see what traffic was like on the Ventura Freeway in the Conejo Valley between LA and Ventura and this warning came up: "A washing machine was dropped in lanes." More likely it fell off a poorly loaded truck, but the wording hit me funny. No photos so no way to know more...

AW has got to be the smoothest, most elegant and most convenient bulletin board ever. It actually worked fine without the animation but I like the animation, and since I use Firefox frequently wanted to make sure nothing was missing in the event other sites might need the plugin. Never occurred...

Lord Kenmore Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, as the problem was indeed Adobe Flash. Turns out there are at least three different types, only one of which works with Firefox. I had installed the other two but not that one. Once I downloaded it, Voila!, I had the jet-cone thumping...

I have a new computer and the animated Frigidaire thumper on the first page is not displaying. Instead there is a grey box with the note "a plugin is needed to display this content". Both Adobe Flash and Java are current, does anyone know what plugin is needed?

I had the same problem too but it resolved itself shortly and I concluded that as with many good things in life AW is worth waiting for! This site works so well that it's easy to get spoiled and forget that some things are beyond Robert's control.

An Airstream for every size car . . . Ironically the old Bambis and Caravels are often worth more than the full sized trailers of the same era because they are rarer and so very cute.

Pump driven recirculating hot water systems are common in new construction and remodels and it's simple enough to use a proximity switch in the bathroom to turn the pump on when someone enters so that it doesn't run endlessly.
