    Kitchentek Washer?

What a curiousity… Omg, I just posted this in Wash-O-Matic on Facebook. Speed Queen! Very interesting. I thought maybe Maytag or Speed Queen — the lid looks very Maytag! I have never seen a KitchenTek washer before. Very cool. I’m also local! Here’s some more pictures of the washer.

    Maytag A212S Sud Saver Help

Yes, the washer drains from the correct hose. When the suds return hose is hooked up, the washer will agitate, BANG is heard, it just does not gain suction whatsoever for some reason.

    Maytag A212S Sud Saver Help

Alright, I finally have the 212S hooked up how I want it — but I’m still having the issue with the Sud Saver. It “BANGS” but it won’t gain any suction (apparently). I have only tried it once, at the appliance store where it came from, where they were trying to figure it out. I have to hook the...

    Finally found Grandma’s Filter Flo…

All moved in and just waiting on a plumber… Almost ready to fire this up. I have the setup complete, just need the plumber to hook everything up and I’ll be washing again. Very excited. Here’s the new setup, with lots of room for the portables to be hooked up to the sink as well.

    Finally found Grandma’s Filter Flo…

Barcoboy, yep, these are GE units as well. I’m going to have to double check with my grandma on if hers had a white or dark tub, I am pretty sure it was white as well. bradfordwhite, hmmm I have to wonder if that’s what happened to my grandparents machine! My grandmother doesn’t know, she was...

    Finally found Grandma’s Filter Flo…

So just the obvious French text and the white tubs made these different from US models, otherwise the same? Interesting about Camco, would love to know more on that too - these are all I’ve ever known, and made under different names as well (Hotpoint, Beaumark, Viking)

    Finally found Grandma’s Filter Flo…

Oh great! Another Canadian model in my household lol! I think the only non-Canadian models I have are the Kenmore portable and the Maytag. Didn’t realize there were Canadian and US model Filter Flo’s, very interesting. What made these different from an American model?

    Finally found Grandma’s Filter Flo…

This has been a bucket list machine for a long time. Grandparents bought the exact same set new, the washer died in 2013 or so and was replaced. I’ve been on the hunt for the same set for quite a while now and these will be my new daily drivers. Curious as to if anyone can pinpoint the general...

    Should I or shouldn’t I?

I noticed a couple posts on here with similar dial and non-button sud saver setups. Is this maybe an earlier feature which later added buttons?

    Should I or shouldn’t I?

Well this popped up for sale very local to me and I’m very excited about it. Couple questions… age? I am thinking early 60’s but not sure. Second — Suds Return on the dial but no Save/Drain buttons? Is it just operated by the dial? Third — is this considered a Highlander? Unsure if the...

Wondering if anyone has the Maytag A212S Operating Instructions? (Manual)

Or any of the manuals would do!

Wondering if anyone has the Maytag A212S Operating Instructions? (Manual)

Wondering if anyone has the operating instructions for the A212. Would like to read about all the features and such my washer has, if anyone happens to have it saved on their device!

    My new A212S!

After a little rearranging… We are operational! Just did the inaugural load in it and wow, I am impressed. What a great machine all around. I expected “good” from Maytag, but didn’t realize just how good it would be. Loving it.

    My new A212S!

Well folks, after much trial and tribulation tonight, my A212S is home. Bought from an appliance store with warranty (amazing right?! It’s a 1984 machine after all!) and they have had a time this week with the Sud Saver portion. Rest of the machine works great. Turns out, SS needs a solenoid. If...
