Yep, That's It . . . I love it, and more to the point, my wife is disappointed it has to go. Between it, the backup 47 GE and late 70's/ early 80's freezer , we have been having 250.00+ utility bills. They will all be changed out, to my dismay, because I know I'll be buying those appliances...

Didn't Tappan Own O&M? I think vacerator is implying that the same stoves, branded as Tappans, may have been available back east. We are lucky here in California, there are so many classic stoves available,some even given away. Thousands, apparently, still seeing daily use, readily available on...

Guess I made an uninformed judgement, then! . . . I frequently see these given away on the local C.L., or sold for next to nothing. I figured they wer one of those " It's a nice theory, BUT " type of purchases. Having never actually used one, I should have shut my yap!

Not Familiar With The Brand, BUT . . . Similar used ones are frequently practically given away at firesale prices on C.L. , once the owners realize they are all but useless. Just saying.
