What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
When I was just a boy around five or six years old I can remember dragging home vintage Maytag washers and dryers from the junkyard and working on them in the backyard.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I restored a Maytag a700 along with the matching DE701 Dryer. The dryer needed a good cleaning a new timer and some grease but the washer needed new bearings new seal and new belts. I am currently collecting any vintage Maytag washer or dryer I can get my hands on. I am putting them aside for the spare parts. As I have no intentions of ever owning any of the junk they make these days.
