What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Speed Queen set with lighted control panel -Push-button Maytag set with lighted control panel. OK any vintage set with a lit control panel
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-Moms 65? Frigidaire Coppertone washer and dryer in the basement with lighted dials, would love to have all lights off and hear the machines run with their dials all lit up. Grandma had a similar but more basic set, and my other grandmother had a great Kenmore 70 series from the 60s as well. As a child I had to see everyones washer/dryer when we went to someone elses house.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
-1993 Kitchenaid W/D set, soon after they came out with the dryer with a window :( 1999 GE set which came with the spec home which was soon replaced with Askos that I found in the paper. After selling the Asko set I got a LG set which was quickly returned and now have the Speed Queens and could not be happier.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Yes, a few washers including my previous Kitchen Aid and Maytag.
