What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My mom had a avacado green Frigidaire Deep Action Washer when I was a kid. It lasted 18 years and by then the only problem with it was the timer. The repairman convinced her she needed a new washer so we wound up with an 80s GE Filter-Flo with the ramp-vane Activator. I loved playing with the Frigidaire and later with the GE. In my teenage years I couldnt have cared less about a washer, but it seems the things that I loved as a child (fans, vacs, washers) I also love as an adult. I recently purchaed (Feb 2008) a Poppy Red Frigidaire 1-18 and did light restoration work on it. I love that washer! I sit by it and watch in the window lid every time I use it. Im always amazed by its operation, and effectiveness.
