What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My earliest memory is of two machines. The first was my aunt’s Electrolux vacuum cleaner in a green color. Hearing that machine turn on was something magical. The whirring of that smooth sounding motor was music to my ears. The second was staring into my grandmothers 1972 Miele front load washing machine. That was the first time I could sit down for hours to watch one thing happen over and over.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Countless Miele washing machines. Two Sebo vacuum cleaners. Four Kitchenaid stand mixers. And many Braun electric shavers.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I have not worked on many before, but I am currently a luxury appliance dealer so I sell and support many new high end models.
