Yeah well I’ve used two of these T GE washers too, and my experience was not the same. They were both fine. And you two tiddlywinks won’t accept that most of the model T washers ran perfectly fine and quiet for years to come. Maybe you and Chet got duds. Or you’re just abusive to machines.
I will add. There’s nothing inherently wrong with a suspension rod system. The belt drive was rod suspended. The problem is none of these modern machines are dampened like older ones. So the tubs go out of control a little easier. When designed right, suspension rods will transmit a lot less...
Typically, no, at least not any of the American dishwasher brands.
The way sensor cycles typically work is they sense low, medium or high soil. And those each have a set cycle sequence. So it’s possible the medium and/or high soil settings will have one or two added post-rinses.
lol this thread is such a circular hand massage.
I know the T series wasn’t as tank-like as FilterFlo. But the FilterFlos were probably the worst of the classic washers.
C’mon now.

And what did GM do besides design a crazy interesting mechanism and washer that could wash shockingly well, while having the fastest spin cycle of the era?
A lot of these oiling ports are used at the point of production and meant to be sealed “for life.” If you want to pump oil or grease in there, that’s fine, but all the washers of my relatives went 20+ years with no oiling.
While the WP “super duper advanced technology” of a ratcheting auger was a better performer than a Newton Maytag with a one stage agitator, Maytags are perfectly adequate when loaded properly.
We had a Maytag growing up and it lasted till the mid 2010s. As long as it wasn’t stuffed and you set...
