Maybe some center dial Maytags, or just the right Whirlpool/Kenmores.
If I ever have the room, I wouldnt mind having a Maytag E2L and N2L to keep my J2Ls company.
And, Id like to find someone who works on Maytag wringers, who could get both of my current ones into useable condition.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
I always enjoyed "helping" Mom with laundry and house cleaning.
Earliest washer/dryer memory is a non-matching pair of white Whirlpools.
I seem to remember it saying RCA on at least one of them as well.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Our first appliances that weve actually owned all came with our house when we bought it.
The only thing weve had to replace as of this date, is the 1980s, brushed chrome, Roper electric slide-in range.
We replaced it with a GE in stainless with the glass top.
I liked the Roper a lot, but the oven stopped working, and the tech told us the control board went bad, and was no longer available.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
No.
Im not mechanically inclined.
I just try to keep them clean and shiny, and leave the mechanical stuff to the pros.
Im sure I will be needing to tinker with my newly acquired Maytag wringer though.
