What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Doing laundry, vacuuming, and cooking with my grandmother and all her Kenmore appliances. I grew to love Kenmore especially because of her but I love many other brands as well.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
I got my kenmore 80 series in 2014 after a neighbor put it and it’s matching dryer on the curb, my dad would not let me get the dryer too. I got my calypso in 2021 after years of searching. very regrettably turned down the opportunity to get the whirlpool version 11 years years prior, when 8 year old me decided getting a cellphone was a better idea. I thought at the time that I would probably only get bullied more by my friends if I got a washing machine as I already endured relentless bullying about collecting vacuums, and I thought maybe me having a cell phone and them not having the slightest bit of hop of convincing their parents to get them one would get me some sort of respect but it wasn’t worth passing up a such a rare thing. And still got bullied anyway
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I have worked quite a bit on my 90 series and calypso and I am working on restoring them to like new condition as I get the money.
