DOM To find the exact date of manufacture, the serial number is better than the model #. It will tell you the week of the year that it was made, talking Whirlool made machines. Glen.

I know that Tappan made at least some of their own ranges in the lata 50's early 60's because some of the Coronado ranges were made by Tappan during that time. I don't know how they came together other than they are both owned, or at least the rights to the names, by Electrolux now. Glen.

Removing Plunger Pins or Rivets I have found that the easiest way to remove a plunger pin, or rivet, is to grind off the end with a Dremel rotary tool with a grinding stone. Glen.
