Fixin it! Went to RepairParts.com and lo, there was the felt strip with plastic shims in stock!! Hey I can fix my dryer! Thanks again--Laundri-boy

Thank You Coldspot Thank you. I unplugged the dryer, popped the top and YES, there is the eroded and missing plastic shims resing on the rusty felt. What next? Can I buy a replacement felt and shim set? Does Gibson still exist?. Would it work to peel the felt strip off and turn it over and glue...

Anyone seen this? Our 8 yr old Gibson FL dryer leaves 2-3" linear rust stains on our clothes. They are not there when the clothes come out of the washer. It is my guess that these come from areas of rust under the edges of the vanes, where the plastic vanes have, over time, rubbed the enamel off...
