I like what I hear about Maytag washers, and would like to try one.
Something I can use daily with suds saver.
Exotic machines could be fun...although I would worry if I could keep them running. My ex-roommate asked me sarcastically before I went to a rummage sale if I would be buying a washer. I said no (then did not have the space) UNLESS something exotic turned up...like a Kelvinator with that "Magic Minute."
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-An early memory: the interesting language my mother used when we walked into our new house, and she noticed that the washer and dryer would not fit into the space provided. (Eventually, it did work, by rotating the washer 90 degrees.)
-Earliest memory is a vague memory of my mothers dryer sitting, unused. (No electrical connection for a dryer in that house.) I can remember the drama when we moved to our next house, and my parents fought a washer when it went into spin. It had had a block installed for safe moving, but not removed by the movers.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
