hmm, not so sure its the same as a dead dog. we have an amazing repair guy that brings these things back from the dead all the time. or even completely modernizes them. He's worked miracles

turquoisedude, I think its just the hood, not the stove and hood. seller is saying "stove vent hood" all as one item. I've emailed the guy on this, we'll see what he says. My problem is being so far away. I've found that craigslist sellers are wary of this, probably with good reason...but...
