Whirlpool Bathtubs & Jetted Showers Are A Fad

That's what TP valves are for. I'm in the minority here - my shower has 4 body sprays and 2 shower heads and I keep my water heater as hot as possible- 160 degrees. I enjoy my showers, especially on a cold winter day. I have a gas water heater and my gas rates are low. Plus my dishwasher works...

i can no longer find ordinary incandescent chandelier bulbs, gotta go with leds

Phillips makes a great dimmable bulb in many formats that dims much like incandescent bulbs, the color shifts to a warm yellow. I've been using them for years.

    Throwing away food

I think I understand why you guys have a problem with lettuce. I generally buy the mark down stuff at Kroger's and it easily lasts a week or 10 days, but it's rare for it to be around that long as I eat a massive salad with dinner. If I buy heads of romaine occasionally I might buy a 6 pack and...

    Vintage Appliance Advertisements: Part Thirty-one

Had one of those little recorders as a kid in thee 60s,IIRC it was green and cream color, had 3" reels. Odds are it's up in the attic somewhere. Later bought a large format RCA cartridge recorder and lastly a very nice Sony 7" reel to reel.

    Pizza Night

Looks good, but I'm a half and half guy. My pizza has to have at least as much veggies as meat. Onions, peppers - green and banana, olives, tomatoes and mushrooms. But no pineapple.

    19yo Plasma Panel

Retired my 42" Panny plasma from 2006ish a few weeks ago. Works fine, I've used a little device that resets the black level every 1000 hours, common problem with Panasonics from that era. It will live on in a guest bedroom. Replaced it with my second OLED. I've had a 65" for 4 years and love...

    Dueling Duets with differing errors.

I have a couple of Duets, 3 actually- the latter out of service. My daily driver is the older of the group, a German built 22 year old. It started throwing random F11 codes, but eventually ran, until yesterday. I know it's a communication error but I have not had the energy to moved the dryer...

    I turned on my Furnace

I miss my old electronic filter with the snap crackle and pops. Think it was a Sears version of a Honeywell. I've got a variable speed blower and ran it 24/7 on lowest speed, house was totally comfortable, but it did add to electric bill. My smart thermostat has a circulation feature...

Let's talk jeans. Love them or hate them?

I'm a few weeks short of 71, still wear jeans. I have lots of 34x36 and 34x34 but unfortunately now wear 32x34 - i think it's easier to live with too snug jeans than too loose. Was at Costco and bought my first pair of tech pants, really like them.

I had a later version of the Zenith clock radio, mine had L.E.D. display and a straight line radio tuner. I used it for many years. No other clock radio sounded as good back then. Replaced it with a 2 piece Nachimichi stereo clock radio, later with a Proton, each was a step up in sound quality.

    Burgers and Fries

I have a Rival fryer that I Used occasionally, don't recall oil ever going bad. But I only used it once or twice a month, changed the oil every 9-12 months. Have not used it since I got my air fryer.
