What are your dream machines yet to be found?
I’m not sure. The new Mieles don’t seem to stay in service as long and I haven’t researched Bosch. To say for sure I’d have to research again.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
A GE Wringer Washer. I had a long ponytail when I was ten and one time when II was doing the washing the ponytail got caught in the wringer. It was terrifying (I envisioned pulled out hair or a wringer flattened head) but I thought fast and bashed the release on the wringer and triumphed. It was one of my first ‘I can really take care of myself’ moments and it set me up for some of life’s great challenges. It also taught me it is crucial not to panic.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
GE Washer, Dryer, Fridge and Stove. Moffat gas stove. Frigidaire Pro fridge, stove and dishwasher, Miele Washer and Dryer. Whirlpool fridge, stove, dishwasher, combo microwave stove vent. Many of these are still in use.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Yes. Frigidaire stove, dishwasher and fridge. GE Washer, Whirlpool dishwasher. Miele washer (not finished with this yet, thus the visit to your forum.
